Green Tea and Broccoli Can Fight Prostate Cancer

As it turns out, one way to possibly fight Prostate cancer is to eat green literally – using Green Tea and broccolli. As research has found, green tea and broccoli can fight prostate cancer.

In the study, men who had been treated for the disease were given a capsule containing essence of pomegranate, green tea, turmeric and broccoli. At the end of the trial, levels of PSA – a protein that is an indicator of the cancer – were 63pc lower than in those who took a placebo. Previous research has suggested such foods have an anti-cancer effect, but the British study is the first to demonstrate such an impact on sufferers of prostate cancer.

Professor Robert Thomas, a consultant at Bedford Hospital and Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge, England, said on the matter,

“We hope this will help millions of men combat the onset of prostate cancer.”

This is a great step forward in helping to stop prostate cancer and it is great that green tea is involved at all in the process. It might be one reason more to pick up that cup of green tea, and maybe some broccoli.
