Tea Beauty Secrets

Drinking tea has been long correlated with health benefits, like preventing heart disease, staving off cancer, and even preventing diabetes. As it turns out drinking tea can help your outsides as well as your insides. Beauty World News in a recent article got tea beauty secrets from Top NY Board Certified Dermatologist, Dr. Ariel Ostad.

She said that tea is a great beauty treatment because,

Tea is a great for maintaining healthy-looking skin.  Tea contains rich antioxidants known as polyphenols, which fight against the damaging affects of free radicals. What this means is tea ultimately helps you to fight against the signs of aging that can result in wrinkles and collagen breakdown.

She continued in the article and said that tea was a great way to improve overall health. She cited tea’s many health benefits as well as its anti-aging qualities. The best teas for anti-aging found in the article are white and green tea and that people should try to drink 4 cups a day. Green tea is good for inflammation, hormonal activity, and helps in detoxification. All of these things, she said, help with acne and could get that clear skin you want.

On buying the right tea to help your skin and even overall health she said,

When shopping for tea, look at the box to see how many catechins it has. The more catechins it contains, the better, because that means that the tea has a high level of antioxidants.  Try to buy organic green tea when you can, and store your tea in a dark, dry place.

These are all great ways to get tea to help you on the skin deep level. You can reduce acne with Green Tea as well as prevent some of those wrinkles. So next time you brew up a new cup of tea, you might just helping your skin all the more.
